I spent the afternoon a few weeks ago with Natalie and her beautiful Siberian Huskies, Max & Delilah. We had a great time walking along the edge of Beaver Lake as well as catching the last few rays of sun from Shaddox Hollow.

Sunrise Yoga // Lifestyle // Devil's Den State Park, AR
Last week we photographed a sunrise yoga class at Yellow Rock Overlook in Devil's Den State Park. The class was sponsored by Fayettechill and Soul Yoga Lounge. The class was taught by Alexandira Mero. Daniel from Pelikan Films also came along and captured all the action in cinematic form. Can't wait to see what he comes away with! Here's how it all went down... Everyone arrived at Fayettechill's Basecamp in downtown Fayetteville, AR at 5am. We caravanned to Devil Den's State Park and hiked the 1.5 mile Yellow Rock Trail in the dark. Once everyone arrived at the Yellow Rock Overlook, Alexandria expertly led the class. I believe most of the students are taking Hot Yoga. Hot Yoga is done in around 105°. On this particular day it was only 28°. Keeping that in mind and that the class took part on uneven rock on the edge of a cliff, it was a challenge even for the most advanced students.
Winter Camping // Lifestyle // Ouachita Mountains, AR
A couple good friends and I wanted to go on a winter adventure. Our sights were set for the Ouachita Mountains. We drove through the forest dirt roads for a good hour trying to get ourselves lost. Once we could go no further by car, due to a fallen tree, we packed up our gear and set up to the top of the peak by foot. This was a much needed retreat.
Emily // Portraits // Ames, IA
Well, well, well... I believe this is the third blog I've posted this week. Now, that must be a record.
Below is very classy Emily Erbes. Thanks very much to her for modeling, as well as Bethany Crane for styling, hair and make up. We had a great time shooting this, and finished off the night watching The Office and eating some delicious Butterfingers ice cream. Happy Halloween!
Sweat and Mud
I needed some sexy athletic shots for a job I was applying for. This is what I came up with over a two evenings of bug biting fun. There are still a number of images I want to edit from these shoots besides these, but I just couldn't wait to post these.
Thanks so much to my ridiculously good looking friends Brent, Paul, Derek, Emily, Noah, as well as Jon Rohlf for being a fantastic assistant.
Every Summer Comes To An End
Chris came and visited for a few days. The day before he left, we decided it would be wrong if we didn't do one last photoshoot. I recruited Jon Rohlf to assist with lighting. We drove to the country just as the sun was setting and for the next half hour, did what we do best.
It's Always Sunny In Kansas City
Before School ended Chris and I decided that we would go to a Kansas City Royals game over the summer. And Thus, it happened. We got a hotel, and right before I left, I was able to convince Aaron and Jon to make the four hour drive with me, so we made a party out of it. My friend Jesse works in Kansas City so I was able to invite him along too. We yelled trash talk to the outfielders and simply had a fantastic time. Also, it was the best game the Royals have played all year, (out trash talk payed off). After the game we got some late night Taco Bell and crashed at a hotel across from the stadium. The next day we went to the plaza and had a wonderful day. Love those guys!
