I am Matthew Smith, a commercial, editorial, and lifestyle photographer based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Iowa, I have had the opportunity to work and live in diverse locations such as Honolulu, Chicago, and Arkansas before finally settling in the vibrant city of Los Angeles.

I am passionate about capturing the beauty and spirit of people and objects through my photography. With a keen eye for detail, I am dedicated to producing uplifting and visually stunning work that tells a story and evokes emotion. My style is characterized by a focus on dynamic light, candid moments, and a love of color and contrast.

Whether I am working with individuals, small businesses, or major brands, my approach is always collaborative and client-focused. I believe in creating a comfortable and engaging environment that encourages my subjects to relax and be themselves, allowing me to capture truly authentic moments.

In addition to my love of photography, I am a connoisseur of well-designed objects, delicious food, and compelling stories. When I am not behind the camera, you can find me exploring the city's many hidden gems with my wife, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or walking my dog.
