Emily // Portraits // Ames, IA

Well, well, well... I believe this is the third blog I've posted this week. Now, that must be a record.

Below is very classy Emily Erbes. Thanks very much to her for modeling, as well as Bethany Crane for styling, hair and make up. We had a great time shooting this, and finished off the night watching The Office and eating some delicious Butterfingers ice cream. Happy Halloween!

Sweat and Mud

I needed some sexy athletic shots for a job I was applying for. This is what I came up with over a two evenings of bug biting fun. There are still a number of images I want to edit from these shoots besides these, but I just couldn't wait to post these.

Thanks so much to my ridiculously good looking friends Brent, Paul, Derek, Emily, Noah, as well as Jon Rohlf for being a fantastic assistant.

The Big Jump

Whelp. I finally made the big jump. I just ordered a new Canon 7D along with a beautiful lens. These are going to replace my current Pentax system which, don't get me wrong, is obviously a fantastic camera, but I knew I had to make the jump eventually. I am now (more than) 100% dead broke. I'm a little terrified, BUT am confident that this investment will pay for itself in no time! Also, I am SOOOO excited to start shooting gorgeous video. A month ago I went to the Iowa State Fair where I saw these dudes go crazy. I'm currently in the middle of building a sport/adventure/action portfolio. Two shoots in the next two days! This afternoon I have a photoshoot with an equestrian doing some jumps!

It's Always Sunny In Kansas City

Before School ended Chris and I decided that we would go to a Kansas City Royals game over the summer. And Thus, it happened. We got a hotel, and right before I left, I was able  to convince Aaron and Jon to make the four hour drive with me, so we made a party out of it. My friend Jesse works in Kansas City so I was able to invite him along too. We yelled trash talk to the outfielders and simply had a fantastic time. Also, it was the best game the Royals have played all year, (out trash talk payed off). After the game we got some late night Taco Bell and crashed at a hotel across from the stadium. The next day we went to the plaza and had a wonderful day. Love those guys!

William Christopher Huffman

Chris and I met our junior year of college. We always seem to be collaborating with each other on everything creative that we are involved in.  After the few shoots we did this past year he ended up getting signed to a modeling agency in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
